Electrical plugs and socket-outlets differ in voltage and current rating, shape, size and type of connectors. The types used in each country are set by national standards.When we use sockets to connect lower rating equipment we must use 6A sockets in conjunction with the 6A switch. Eg. Mobile charger, LED TV, Audio video equipment, table lamp, laptop.

Generally the plug is the movable connector attached to an electrically operated device's power cord,  and the socket-outlet is fixed on equip-
-ment or a building structure.  The plug has protruding prongs, or pins that  fit  into matching slots or holes in the socket-outlet.  A socket is
also called a receptacle, outlet, or power point.
